My Carillon Year*

So... I used to play carillon in college for like a year or something.  The teacher was amazing.  I don't remember what I'm playing here, but I'm definitely playing with my feet.

SO HERE is what a carillon is.

What I'm playing is a practice carillon. The real thing has bells like this:

And is often in a tower like this:
(This is the Berkeley Campinile - I did a mini-concert here...)

Poor Unfortunate Souls

So basically, I should have spent my morning doing other things, but my voice is *so* shot from having this awful cold, that there was only one song that I knew I had to cover:

YUP that's right. Ursula's "Poor Unfortunate Souls" from "The Little Mermaid." I probably shouldn't share it with the world...

HOW I DID IT:

So I found the karaoke track, but it didn't have underscoring for the first dialogue part, (WHICH I LOVE) and the whole spell bit either, (WHICH I ALSO LOVE), so I had to do a little editing. I took the first 3 measures of the track and looped them for the intro. Then I found the original song, and tried my best to edit out the vocal part, and then sung over it. You can kind of hear the real Ursula under my cold-stricken voice.

I did the vocal portion in 3 parts. I sung the main portion of the song first, then got upset that the whole thing wasn't there, so did all the instrumental editing, and recorded the 1st and last sections. For some reason, there are parts of the main section that sound edited, but they're not. Nothing is edited except for adding a bit of reverb.
